New to Windows Server Virtualization? Aren’t we all 
Well here’s a detailed diagram referencing the 
architecture of Microsoft’s next-gen hypervisor product from the August 2007 Technet Magazine.
The diagram is a good reference for those trying to understand the overall architecture of WSV and the various management components (SCVMM and SCOM) for the environment.
This image is essentially a more detailed version of the one depicted in the “Introduction to Windows Server 2008″ book.
